Japanese and local fare in one

In Singapore there are various types of Japanese restaurants which you can enjoy. Some are authentic, some are traditional with a twist of local taste. Shinagawa Ramen is one of those that I find it interesting as it has a fair influence of the local flavours.

The Spider Maki is always served hot especially the ingredients inside, that means it’s made only when you order. Fried till golden brown, the soft shell crab is crispy and fragrant.

Because of our game, we added extra spicy to this Tom Yum Ramen but you can choose a different level of spiciness according to your preference. The broth has a light lemongrass and rich seafood fragrance, it is a unique Japanese version of Tom yum which you can only enjoy here

Eating Dynamic Roll is like eating a mouthful of premium ingredients, the mouth-watering salmon on the roll is served generously. It is actually similar to what I ate in Japan, the salmon covers the roll entirely that makes it so tasty!

It’s my practice to order salad before any main course. The ideal mixture of salad depends on the type of vegetables and freshness. The chef uses avocado as a secondary ingredient is a clever mixture, it creates a different texture that refreshes my appetite.

For ramen, you can add as much noodles as you want in Japan but not the broth, it is because most of the broth is boiled using quality ingredients. At Shinagawa, the ingredients used are also exceptional. The broth is superb with a generous amount of ‘cha siew’ added, that explains why this is a signature dish.
