Yun Nan Original Ecology Hot Pot


Steamboat is a culture or I would say common practice well-liked by many. What I like about steamboat are the numerous selection of ingredients to pick from and you can simply cook what you want. I particularly find delight in this approach because family or friends will not have time to look at their phones but would be busy with cooking. It’s a great bonding idea which you can take this opportunity to catch up and bring relationship closer, that is why I always like eating sessions.

I have covered quite a lot of steamboat places but non is comparable to Yunnan Original Ecology Hotpot. Bringing in fresh wild mushroom, herbs and spices imported from Yunnan, the restaurant merged modern dining and advocates healthy eating into one unique concept of it’s own. The wild mushroom hotpot recipe has been passed down from more than 100 years ago which has ample nourishing benefits with the most natural formula. After learning that wild mushrooms can prevent several illness and build up immune system, Yunnan Original Ecology Hotpot was in my dine-out list every week for both a tastier and hearty experience.

There are 4 different soups in 1 hot pot, wild mushroom, fresh tomato, spicy “ma la” and chicken herbal. As the topic today is about wild mushroom, I want to emphasise more on the flavor and benefits of it. Placed in the middle portion, 17 types of wild mushrooms are boiled together for more than 20 hours, you can imagine how intense the mushroom taste will be. If you have not eaten wild mushrooms before, it tastes like “grass” that is aromatic and carries a natural sweetness, not salty at all. The wild mushroom flavor practically dominates your taste buds for a few minutes.

All wild mushrooms has to be boiled for 10 minutes to release it’s fullest flavors. Place everything into the soup and drink it while it’s hot, the nutritional benefits are amazingly good with taste that is unbelievably robust. Those who likes to eat mushroom will love it, soft in texture and rich in nutrients.
