我最爱的点心-虾饺和烧卖!

Singapore Blogger
I have been a fan of Hong Kong delicacies since the day I travelled there. The food there is just so undescribably delectable especially the dim sum and staples that I will never get tired of. It's hard to find traditional Hong Kong fare in Singapore unless the eateries are operated by Hong Kong owners. I have tasted quite a number of them, the champion still goes to Sun Lok Noodle House which I have patronised for more than 20 years. From the restaurant's furnishing to the dishes top to toe, there is nothing to pick about.

Steamed Dumpling Siew Mai
Steamed Dumpling Siew Mai
Made up of mostly chicken drumstick and an adequate amount of prawn, using the right proportion of meat plays a huge role to determine the texture of Siew Mai. Steamed till tender, this is one of the best and gratifying dim sum I ever had.

Steamed Shrimp Dumpling Har Kau
Steamed Shrimp Dumpling Har Kau
A good quality shrimp dumpling relies on the skin. Sun Lok's unbeatable Har Kau has skin that is not thick yet bouncy and translucent, when lifted it is not easily broken as well. The prawn inside is not just fresh but locked with a certain type of meat fragrance. Find out what is the secret ingredient behind from the video.

Sweet and Sour Pork
Sweet and Sour Pork
The all time favourite sweet and sour pork looks simple but to get that seamless outer crisp while meat still retaining succulent and soft requires good frying skills. Amount of flour used and top quality vinegar is also the key to achieve such luscious taste. I actually ordered two plates because I can't get enough of it!

Stewed Chicken and Pig Liver with Onion

Even before you get to feast, you will first hear the addictive sizzling sound coming from the claypot, this meant a guarantee hot dish served. Stewed chicken and pig liver are both tender and moist, infused with robust flavors that is heavenly delicious. Eat it with white rice to enjoy a different sensation.
