Wong Kok Char Chan Teng (旺角) Brand Ambassador

Wong Kok Char Chan Teng has 20 over branches in Malaysia and one of them is situated conveniently at Johor Bahru, Singaporeans who often travel to Malaysia will be familiar with this restaurant. I was delighted to be the ambassador of Wong Kok Char Chan Teng as well, they are quite similar to Causeway Bay HK Cafe but has their own set of menu with a twist which also features some of the popular items in Hong Kong.

Cheese Baked Rice in Hong Kong Style (Chicken Chop)
It is my favourite dish, I will always order this when I am here. The slightly burnt cheese is rich, flavorful and has a tinge of Chinese herbs fragrance. Served with sauce that is not too salty, the chicken chop is also ideally soft, a perfect combination with no flaws.

Black Pepper Fried Udon
With a choice of pork, chicken or beef, you can choose your preferred meat to go with the udon. The udon used here is of top quality as it does not have a strong taste of flour that is too overwhelming. Each strand is fried evenly, giving off an intense black pepper fragrance. An appetising dish not to be missed.

Shanghai Noodle Soup with “Szechuan” Vegetable
Hong Kong people usually go light in their diet, that is why it is quite common that they use “Szechuan Vegetable” in their soup-based dishes. It enhances the flavor of the soup and gives off an aromatic flavor. Noodles with shredded pork and salted vegetable has the best combination for a light meal.
